Not really an origional hat, but the name "unorigional hat" was already taken...
C0 70 sts using a sz 8 16 in circular needle
K1 P1 for approx 12 rows depending on your taste
stockinette stitch for approx 6 inches
*K8 k2tog* for one row
K 1 row
*K7 k2tog* for one row
K1 row
Continue this way until you have k2tog for a whole row or there are approx 6 sts remaining.
Pull yarn through all sts and break. Pull through to inside of hat and tie off. Weave in ends

ReplyDeleteonce again sorry for the delay!!! :/ I do sometimes other times I just pull the excess circular needle through to make a big loop on one side that's empty. I have no idea how to better explain that but of course DPN's will work wonderfully with this! (which at this point I'm sure you've already finished the hat ;) sorry again! I hope you like the pattern!
